Katana ZERO stands on the shoulders of many of the greats of the indie scene, borrowing elements of gameplay and story beats. While it remains a pastiche of proven ideas, it expertly mixes them in a way that's fresh, polished and wholly engaging.

The formula may be Hotline Miami + SUPERHOT + Strider, but the result more than stands on its own.
