Life is Strange: Before the Storm is an equally emotional prequel story that, despite a few technical and pacing hiccups, succeeds in fleshing out one of is most prominent characters, while using noticeably less emphasis on the supernatural.

In a similar vein to its comparable Lynchian counterpart, it serves as a way to bring life to a character that desperately needed to tell their story, that miraculously manages to succeed as a prequel by standing entirely on its own.
