Manhunt might be the most bafflingly disconnected I've ever felt with the critical reception of a video game in recent memory. Although its decent polish and technically functional stealth should be given the credit it's due, I just could not get through it.

Hailed in its time for its daring violence and commentary, it merely feels like a cartoon reflective of the state of the industry at the time, with a barebones story and dull gameplay that make it drag way past the novelty of its execution mechanic.
